Crates (ERC-20)

ANNOUNCEMENT: Battle Racers has ceased operations as of February 16th, 2022. Crate opening is no longer supported, however, Car Part NFT ownership will be retained. See Contracts for smart contract information.

There are four type of crates, each containing random car parts.

  • Gold Crate: contains four (4) random car parts

  • Silver Crate: contains three (3) random car parts

  • Bronze Crate: contains two (2) random car parts

  • Wood Crate: contains one (1) random car part

Every season or edition, only a limited number of crates per type will be sold. They also have different drop rates per part rarity. The Legendary rarity is a bonus drop on top of the 1 to 4 parts you get for each crate.

Opening Crates

To see the crates you own, go to the Inventory page on the Battle Racers website and click the Crates tab.

If you don’t have a crate allowance for that type of crate, we will ask you to set one the first time you open. What this means is that you allow us to open a maximum of 1000 crates for you, rather than asking you each time. This is a MetaMask transaction — there will be one gas fee to open 1000 of a crate type, i.e. BRS1GDC for Season 1 Gold Crates (that’s the ERC-20 name of the crate).

If you have enough crate allowance, clicking on the crate will show a larger version of it on the page. Just click on "Open Crate" and wait for the transaction to be processed.

When the transaction is over, click on the crate to reveal the parts. Parts obtained from crates will be minted on the Polygon Network sidechain. Each part has its own token number and unique URL. Learn more about car parts in the next section.
